They’re Doing it Again

The Cubs have been on a nice little run this past week. It’s a trick. Don’t fall for it. They’re going to keep up their winning ways for a bit, right up until they are either within a few games of 500 or the Brewers. At that point, just when you thinking they might have a chance and aren’t as hopeless as previously thought they will go on another one of their patented seven game losing streaks. It’s what they do. It’s not enough for them to torment their fans with endless futility, they have continually give them hope, just so they can crush it. And just when all hope seems lost, they’ll start winning again. But just enough to get the gullible fans thinking optimistically again, so once again they can crush them. Like I said, don’t fall for it. You’ll thank me later.
